Dee Martinez is a Senior Settlement Consultant with Quest Settlements.
Prior to joining Quest, Dee was self-employed for over 20-years as a successful certified Spanish court interpreter/translator. She eventually grew her business to provide over 140 interpreters/translators representing nearly every language. Dee is most proud of her ability to build professional relationships that best allow her to serve the individual needs of clients and attorneys.
Dee has an extensive training resume, especially in the area of courtroom testimony, victim/witness preparation, and victim support and communication. She was frequently hired by some of the largest firms throughout the country, especially when interpreting in complex, high-profile, and lengthy trials.
She brings this wealth of experience and compassionate approach to structured settlements. Dee is well-versed in personal injury claims, medical malpractice, wrongful death, cases involving minors, class action cases, and non-physical injury cases such as employment, discrimination, and attorney fees.
Dee was born and raised in Tijuana, Mexico, until age 11. This affords her an even greater understanding of the additional complexities often faced by cross-cultural claimants.
She is active in many legal organizations, such as Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), Association of American Justice (AAJ), and National Structured Settlement Trade Association (NSSTA)—to name a few.
Although she appreciates the convenience of virtual meetings, Dee enjoys meeting face-to-face with clients to ensure a strong bond that best supports a clear understanding of their needs. Whenever possible, Dee also specializes in designing settlement payouts that do not jeopardize a claimant’s government benefits.
In her spare time, Dee enjoys spending time with friends and family. She is also a committed supporter and participant of the Women in Trial Travel Summit (WITTS) “Travel and Learn” trips held at various locations throughout the World, combining her love of travel with the passion for her profession.
